Aspen was born and raised with us out of our Tesla and Link litter and has turned out to be exactly what we look and hope for.

Stunning sable female exceptional in every way. Legendary East German heavy bone structure with tremendous west German working abilities. Extremely motivated to engage and please handler and gives 110% effort in everything she does.

This girls superior food and toy drive, combined with a phenomenal off switch makes her truly a special one of a kind individual that easily transitions between powerful working dog and relaxed family dog.

Demonstrates hard full grips with beautiful guarding and power in the protection work and extremely clear headed and neutrally confident in all situations.

We are currently still titling Aspen in IGP, AKC and WDA. Stay tuned for more updates. IGP1 planned for 2024.

Aspen Growing Up

4/30/22- At the early age of 9 months old (minimum age requirement) Aspen and Ashly traveled down to Oroville, California to enter True Haus’ Working Dogs of America trial. Despite being so young, in new place, after a long road trip, she still earned her FO title with an 84 and we couldn’t have been more proud of her.

6/9/2022- Aspen and Ashly earned their AKC Canine Good Citizen Title

11/5/22- Aspen and Ashly traveled down to Oroville, California to enter the Working Dogs of America Western Regionals. Aspen not only earned her Protection Dog 1 Title, but she qualified for WDA 2023 Nationals in Texas and won 1st place out of 5 other very talented dogs. We were very proud of her with a very nice obedience score of 92.125 and protection score of 90. Way to go ladies!

1/20/23- Aspen and Ashly earn their Canine Good Citizen Urban test in Jacksonville, Oregon. This girl did so well she could have filmed the demonstration video. She sure is a pleasure to be around and get to play with.

June 17, 2023 – Aspen and Ashly entered the Siskiyou K9 WDA trial and earned their Protection Sport 1 title along with High in Trial (similar to an IGP1 without tracking). We’ve earned many titles with dogs, but this one was extra special to us for many reasons. As Aspen matures, she consistently proves she will give us everything she has when we step on the field, and trialing is no exception. I was very busy preparing to host a trial leading up to this, and our training time was limited. Even with that, we still earned a 96 in obedience and a 96.5 in protection, and many of those little points I (Ashly) cost us, not her. She is our first BHOT dog to achieve this title and, hands down, the most enjoyable young dog I’ve ever had the pleasure of raising, training, and trialing. I (Ashly) feel so lucky to be her partner and can’t wait to get out there and continue these big kid titles with this girl. Everyone should be so lucky to have a dog that tries as hard as she does!

September 8, 9, and 10- Aspen and Ashly entered the Umpqua AKC show in Roseburg, Oregon where they earned all three legs to their BN title. Not only did Aspen bring home two 1st places and one 2nd place out of 9 dogs in her class but she also earned a PERFECT 200/200 SCORE(if you know AKC obedience you know how impressive this is!). This was Aspen’s first AKC show and we could not be more proud of how she handled all the tough distractions a show like this brings. In AKC a female in heat can not show in obedience and though she has blown her coat in preparation, she finally didn’t have a heat cycle land on an AKC competition weekend so we got to play. 😉 Three days in a row she earned beautiful scores of 198 or above and two checks. She proves time and time again how special she is.

September 23, 2023- Ashly and Aspen enter the RVSC IGP Trial and earn their BH/VT. Way to go ladies! We could not be more proud of you two!

March 15, 16, &17 2024- Ashly and Aspen traveled down to Anderson, California to enter the Lost Coast Kennel Club AKC Obedience show. Not only did Aspen earn all three legs to her Companion Dog Title but she brought home 1st place for her class each day and HIGHEST SCORING DOG in the regular classes the first two days and tied with another dog on the third day for it! I could not be more proud and grateful to have such an incredible partner who gives me 110% effort no matter what we do and what is going on.
